MEET THE RIDER
TROY GREEN #5

Troy Green is a relative newcomer to the CMRA program. However, since his first race he has shown his outstanding ability in the Middleweight class. He is the current Middleweight Champion in several CMRA classes, along with two Grand National Championships won at Mid-Ohio.

We caught up with Troy at Oak Hill Raceway, during the opening round of the season. He had a great weekend and as always produced some sweeeet results!!!

How did you start racing? Completed California Superbike School in March 1998 and participated in many Fastrack Open practices at Willow Springs International Raceway. I began racing in the CMRA/CCS in 1999. Two friends and I entered an Endurance race at Hallett, and finished 3rd in Middleweight Supersport...all three of us were Provisional Amateurs!!
----------
What are your goals for 2002? To compete in the Formula USA Sportbike Championship and race at selected AMA 600 and 750 Supersport races, whilst continuing racing with the CMRA.

I would like to achieve a top five finish in a F-USA race and at least one top ten finish in the AMA PRO races. I also intend to defend my CMRA Club Championships.
----------
What do you like most about the CMRA? The CMRA is like a family, a big family that shares a common passion for motorcycle racing, with great competition and many great people involved. A race weekend is like a vacation where you get to race all of your friends and family then you get to hang out and find out what everyone has been doing since the last race. The CMRA is the best racing organization in the US.
----------
All your bikes feature a sticker that reads "Trixie 555", what's that about? Trixie 555 was Heatherly Edison's nickname and CMRA racing number, she passed away on January 18th. I met Heatherly through racing and we became very good friends, she was a smart, beautiful, wonderful person that enjoyed motorcycle racing. So I run "TRIXIE 555" on my bikes in memory of Heartherly Edison and dedicate my future in racing to her.
