The weather WAS perfect all weekend, but on the way home from TWS crossing the Lavaca Bay Causeway into Port Lavaca, I noticed that even though we had a pretty stiff north wind blowing, the tide had to be 2-3 feet ABOVE normal. Now, that just ain't right. Northers blow the water OUT of the bay. So, I get home, unload the bike and put it in the shop, turn on the weather channel. That big bastard storm is over the tip of the Yucatan, a thousand miles away, and we are already seeing abnormally high tides! It's supposed to turn north. Now, I'm getting nervous about the weather.

Thanks Louis, I'll keep it in mind. The bay is just across the street, although I'm on a little over a 20 foot bluff and well inland from the gulf. Salt water would not really do the bikes too much good, though, LOL.
