I think I know the answer but need to make sure before I mail my registration in.

Can I run my SV650 in the DSS and DSB class?

What other class can I run it in?

I can hear it now, Read the Rule Book!!

as I read the rules sv is dsb not dss and in dsb they must be ss legal. You may race it in lgt twins and heavy twins. css csb

dsb needs to be stock
lgt tw
hvy tw
css
csb
for 1
for 2
for cmra

The TZR250 and the SV650 are allowed in D Superbike only and must conform to Superstock rules with the
exception that slicks are allowed and no limits on bodywork. The VF500 is allowed in D Superbike only with stock
displacement.

this is called performance indexing these bikes would make dss a class for these only.

Doesn't the rule book read (up to 700cc liquid cooled twin, in the DSS & DSB)?

dsb needs to be stock
lgt tw
hvy tw
for 2
for cmra

that is IMHO

See Bryan Norton's post on November 17, 2003 entitled "Last minute updates to rule book"

"BIG CHANGE TO "D" Superstock and "D" Superbike:
SV650 is allowed. Superstock in superstock, and superbike in superbike. This aligns the class better with "A,B,C,D" mentally and gives superstock SVs a good class."
