Ok, this has been driving me nuts for a long time.

Someone who belongs to the CMRA has the Klez virus, and has had it for some time.

For details on one of the varieties of the virus please click this link:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.h@mm.html

For a free anti virus utility that works over the internet without having to endure a big download, visit http://housecall.antivirus.com
(Choose 'scan without registering' and you don't even have to give them your email)

Now here is the deal. Klez sends an email from your computer, but it changes the 'From:' line to a random person in your address book. It then sends it to someone else in your address book, and attaches a random file from your computer.

I am pretty sure I know WHO it is that has this virus. I know they have the following people in their address book:
FZR400 email list
Bob/Sherrie/Logan Young
ME
phillipslr@cox-internet.com
spudder@spudder.co.uk
mnovak@houston.rr.com
Marcus_McBain1/Denver/Extant@dynegy.com
obrienp@nortelnetworks.com
cyclepunx@excite.com
And many more.

Now there may be more than one person infected with this virus, but if several of the above people are in your address book, PLEASE go to housecall.antivirus.com and run a scan.

I have a feeling that the person who may have this is Mike Petipas. Mike-If you read this please run a virus scan.

Thank you for your time. Let's go back to talking about racing!

Bryan, I have none of those people listed in my address book. I will run a scan anyway.

bryan,

i, too, am a victim of this horrible virus, except i have a whole different list of email addresses. i am glad you came forward. should we start a support group? /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif do you think it came from monkeys? i hope it doesn't wipe out the population. /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif seriously, thanks for the virus utility! i will begin treatment immediately.

Well, I ride an FZR, but not them light weight 400's. I did the house calls scan and found a "REG_Home.C" virus. - Hope that wasn't the one causing the problems.
