It was impressive. John went by me in T1 while I was swapping paint with Mike Smith and the rest of the field and John just took care of business. Awesome!

He would have had the 750 race too if Opie hadn't tangled up with him.

John basically let the U.S. know he was for real. The Suzuki guys definitely took notice based on the comments from the banquet. It also seemed to me that John was having to race harder than the regulars as they were giving him no slack.

He is the man!
