This past weekend I attended Ty Howard's racing school at TWS and I got sooo much out of it. Ty addressed several things about my riding style that made me feel more comfortable and confident on my bike. Ty also showed us the correct racing line around TWS and after learning the fast line around the track I got to watch and pass others using the incorrect lines. You wouldn't believe what a difference it makes. Even though I did not rent a lap timer I felt as if I was improving each session focusing on the things that have been pointed out.

Thank you RideSmart, it was an awesome experience that seemed well organized with a great group of people.

Thank you Ty for the additional help and knowledge you shared and also for being very approachable.

Also, how can I reach the people that were taking the photos of that event?

BTW, who got the smoothest rider award?

Big thanks to Ty Howard and the whole Ride Smart group. Outside of my own bike troubles and afternoon rain, I learned a lot from Ty's school and really enjoyed the entire experience. The whole staff was very competent, professional and extremely nice for the event. I really enjoyed the experience and rate it right up there with Jason Pridmore's Star School that I love.

I will definitely be attending Ty's classes and events again. He has a lot of very good information to impart on his students.

Cheers to all and see ya in at TWS in April,
David

There was a photographer there on Saturday. I think they are called Digital Race Photography or something. They had the same trailer as a group called Digital Photo Cafe used last year so it is probably the same people.

I have checked out hartphotography's and RxDesign's websites and unfortunately hartphotography does not cover RideSmart and RxDesign is outdated by over a year. RxDesign's latest photos are from Sept. 04 and that is labeled NEW. Digital Race Photography does not even mention RideSmart...

Du no

Maybe, just maybe Dave would know???

What a thought.

Thanks for the info.

Speaking of Ridesmart, do you guys have any ad info. I work at a multi-franchise dealership and a mini poster or flyer would be helpful to me in getting people to come to a trackday. Cresson is about 4.5 hours from us and I think some kind of literature could potentially draw a large sportbike crowd from out here. (West Texas)I have been to a couple trackdays and love it.

Exactly, and it may just open some eyes. I doubt if anyone out here has ever used anymore than 2 inches on either side of their tires. The racetrack is a humbleing experience to say the least, an experience alot of people need.

I just received some new information regarding photographers at track events... I was assured this info is correct as of 2005:

---------------------------------------------------
The info about Ridesmart was essentially correct. The Ridesmart site lists Joel Springs of RX Design as their official photographer. At the last event, however, Joel Springs could not make it and the photographer was Digital Race Photos ( http://www.digitalracephotography.com/ ). I don't know if he is replacing RX Design or if this was a one-time deal. Digital Race Photos is NOT the same group as the Digital Cafe trailer that is often at TWS. Digital Cafe is the photographer who covers the "car" events at TWS. Hart Photography is the photog for CMRA events at Cresson. Fast Track Images is the photog for all LSTD events (both TWS and Cresson). Fast Track Images can be contacted at starcom@pelicancoast.net for proofs. And then the CMRA has its own "official" photgrapher but I think he only covers TWS since Hart Photography has an exclusive agreement with Motorsports Ranch at Cresson.
