There was a lite turn out today at Oak Hill but with the help of Lance Smalls workers we got a lot of things done. The tire walls were rebuilt in several places, new tire walls were put up. The Ryno patch was put down on the track in several places, this stuff is pretty neat. I do not have a list of the people who showed up but I think Clair is going to post them when she gets home. Here are some shots from the work day.

Yep, David, that was some fun - and quite productive, I think. Tire walls in places there hadn't been before, a clearing of the land and dangerous objects (like a couple of trees in the run-off areas), and some Rhino Hide to make the track sticky in places it needs to be sticky in.

And now for some trvia (that is bound to get me in trouble):

Did you know that Chuck Ergle will be 43 years old on the 9th of January? Did you know that Jesse Johnson makes motorcycle sounds when he is sleeping? Did you know that Emmett Dibble has a Ferrari red sleeping bag and can fall asleep holding a Shiner Bock? /ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

Everyone who was there on Saturday will receive a free practice day at Oak Hill the weekend of February 8th - 9th. It pays to show up and work for your club.
David Hirsch and Jay Deaton really worked hard on improving the electrical connections and will do some more on Friday before the practice weekend.

I want to thank Lance small for bringing his
crew out with him. I'm sure it wasn't cheap but he and his guys essetially made the tire walls
possible. they had 2 trucks with high walled
trailers and about 10 guys and loaded adn brought at least 500 tires to the track. It would have been a 2 day project with out them.

Thank You very much!!!!!!!!!!!!

With any luck no one will ever use any of the new tire walls. They were put in spots where no one can remember anyone ever going but is in the definant realm of possability. Especialy with the
high corner speeds that will come this year.

The track looks better (facilities included)
then I have ever seen in 10 years.
