Yes, it runs good. It is a 1997 model. The original motor is in Richard Eads sprint bike, hence the 80cc conversion. It would make a great little pit bike. I figured I would post it here before I took it to ebay. I have seen xr's worse off sell for $800 plus. CMRA being a family thing and all, I would like to see the bike stay around. Anthony.

Anthony, I could use it for parts. We're building another sprint XR, 100cc for TMGP light superbike. Give me an e-m at jackgiesecke@cableone.net if you still have the bike. I'll take it off your hands. I will be at Katy if you're going.

Thread jacking on:

Jack, how hard is it to do a YSR/XR conversion? I think an XR100 motor in a YSR is trick but I am not sure how difficult it is to do.

I really don't know, haven't done one. You need to talk to Phillip Fisher, Dennie Spears, or maybe T. Kyle Harris about it. I seem to remember someone telling me it was a pretty simple job cause a couple of the motor mounts line up, but I'm not going to swear to that. It doesn't look hard, though, fits right in.

I've been told it will bolt up at the rear. Change the bushings to brass, the sprockets line up and everything.

Flip the front motor mount upside down and drill it... Fabricate the exhaust.... I'm going to find out when i get my hands on the XR motor...

Rear mount is no problem. May have to bend the ears out. The front needs a special mount made. Denny or Phillip can help with that. Also, the counter sprocket is an XR80.....same size as YSR rear sprockets.....XR100 to wide.
Hope this helps.
